If you don’t drink cow’s milk, you can easily use a non-dairy substitute (rice or almond milk, for example), with almond milk also adding a pleasant flavour to your delicious coffee break.
- Sift 2 Chashaku of Matcha tea into a fairly large cup.
- Add 5cl of cold water and whisk (preferably with a bamboo whisk) to eliminate all lumps.
- In the meantime, heat your milk (to approx. 70°C), then froth it with a milk frother or steam wand (if you use a steam wand, you don’t need to heat the milk).
- Pour the milk over the Matcha tea, ending with the froth on top.
